Javeenbah Theatre’s latest production is a wonderful amalgamation of snippets from three original local works. Featuring Gillian Crow’s Seascape, Kellie Silver’s Class of ’85 and Lia Hope #BeautyWars, this is a night out at the theatre not to be missed. Each piece unique and original delivered by fabulously gifted performers, One Act Wonders is delightful.
Gold Coast Little Theatre’s Sweet Charity is a wonderful night out at the theatre and challenges everyone to understand the issues faced by Charity and the Hostess, and how they can relate to this day and age. Gold Coast Little Theatre has delivered a wonderful piece of community theatre that will make a fantastic addition to anyone’s social schedule. BRAVO!
Live in Five was a lot of fun. As this new production company continues to find its feet and leave its mark on the Gold Coast theatre scene, there will inevitable be many more great things emerging. Thundering Productions is aptly named – the applause of the overjoyed audience was, in a word, thundering.
Javeenbah Theatre Company’s production of The Boys In The Band is monumental. For a small, local community theatre company to take a chance on an iconic queer play from the 60s is almost unheard of. And yet, Javeenbah did exactly that! The result is a smashing success; a brilliantly poignant creation leaving the audience utterly gobsmacked.

Spotlight Theatrical Company’s PUFFS is a hilarious magical romp through the familiar world of Hogwarts with a new twist. This show is incessantly optimistic and laugh-out-loud-funny with a cast that manages to soften even the most cynical of hearts.
Javeenbah Theatre Company’s The Importance of Being Earnest is a riotous romp through the witty words of the timeless Oscar Wilde with a soundtrack jampacked with 80s bops. This production takes the classic text and turns it on its head, reimagining Wilde in the 1980s; and it is a triumph.
We love it when we see local musos kicking goals! One such very talented artist is the Gold Coast’s own, LAVELIN. LAVELIN just recently performed at her first ever professionally booked show ‘Femme Fatale’ at O’Skulligans in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley to a sold-out venue! We sat down to chat to her all about her music and what’s next. Check it out!
Spotlight Theatrical Company’s production of Singin’ In The Rain is picture-book perfect and pure, golden age Hollywood movie musical magic. This production is not one that anyone will want to miss. It is possibly the best theatre produced in Southeast Queensland in 2021. It is delightful, joyful, and filled to the brim with stage magic. Bravo!
Javeenbah Theatre Company’s production of Ordinary Days is a wonderfully uplifting piece of theatre that challenges the audience’s intrinsic cynicism and begs them to embrace the simple joys of life and find the beauty in ordinary things. The small cast of four are all phenomenally talented and together they bring these ordinary characters to life in a way that has the audience laughing, crying and celebrating life, love and hope. This is a show you will not want to miss.
